Rain:
Get It Right An extremly talented and unique piece of project that has much dept to it. "Rain",are not your ordinary smooth R&B group that hollaz on tha girlz, dollar-billz, mercz, ice etc. Instead, these cool young headz take the listener through a sensational and emotional journey that createz a longin' for more of what comez out of their lyricz. 12 blazin trackz (not inc- into & outro) that are rarely heard in their genre. Nu Flava have said it numerouz tymez, over 75% of worth- buyin' LP's are birthed from Independent artistz. And "Rain" have certainly proved that to be so true. The title of the project, "Get It Right" is a sure hit track with multi-talented producer/song-writter etc guru "Barry .D"spillin' his thang whom also produced the whole album. The trackz on this project are quite nicely ordered as well, and for the ladiez seekin for that smooth joint ya'll should peep track 4 titled: Ain't No Way" a beautiful track that immediatley capturez your inner man. If all it took for three headz to come out and rip tha streetz with heart-beatin' tunez, many artistz would of hooked up in threez! Don't get these catz confused with Boyz II Men, Another Level, 112, B2K, Jodeci etc because they certainly operate on a different level and to know it, you got to hear it. Ya herd!

Laura is her name and she has an electrifying vocal sound that catchez the ear instantly. She's beautiful and seem's to have an extremly talented and gifted ability to place her self-titled project on top with the rest. Laura's sound, is a club house vibe at itz best and should deserve all national radio air play with no refusal whatsoever! Eleven trackz that each have a chord to make a point, with smooth-slick vocalz to back each track up. The opening track titled "Saturday Night" is a nice treat for the pop grooverz that wish 0to bump and lil'll somin' somin on a saturday night! Laura's vocalz on each track clearly display her ability to perform where other female vocalistz have messed up! And the nice thing about the project overall is that, it has a list of genre's the listener can flow with without listening to the same sound over and over again. Laura is on top fo'sho!

RhaaShan
This project rite 'ere is a true refreshment concerning where indepen0dent music is heading to in this new millennium. And if ya'll haven't heard of "RhaaShan" then ya'll ain't repin' and encouraging independent folkz on tha reel! A self-titled project that has phatness with inspirational lyricz writen all over it, is a bangin' project to own in 2002 no doubt! In a game all on his own, (with of course tha Lord with him) RhaaShan has his own signature so that the new listener wouldn't rush in comparing him to some ordinary folk or artist in some club around the corner! His production level for an independent artist is probably on heard of today and not only that, his vocalz belong in the top 20 R&B chartz. With a ministry to preach Christ with an R&B flava, RhaaShan will surely make mainstream R&B artistz screaming to set up their own labelz! 10 hot trackz which exclude both intro and outro is R&B/Soul at itz very best fo'sho. Yolanda:
Sweet Yesterday Here is a smooth and relaxin' project that will probably keep you fixed up in cloud-nine forever! And if you've never herd of Yolanda, its because she's an independent artist that needs your support with this fantastic and outstanding debut project. To all the blak headz out there this is really something to get your head nodin' to! Being that this is Yolanda's debut she decided to release 2 tracks in addition to 3 special bonus tracks for the real jazzy folkz out there. "Sweet Yesterday" which is also the title of this project and is also the key track that really stands out head above shoulders from the other tracks. Yolanda's vocals on "Sweet Yesterday" is an incredible track to listen to. She could probably be compared to Kim Burrell on this track due to her high and balanced cords that bring out the true beauty and skill of where she is capable of taking her music production to. Trackz 3 and 4 are more groovy trackz and once again point and stress out the beauty of Yolanda's vocal skill. While track 5 is dedicated to Leo Jones this is still a must listen to debut project.

Shelia Moore:
Serious About You Once again, independent artistz like that of Shelia Moore are the reason why NuFlava is in operation because these folkz are just totally worth it all.0 And just like the title of this project, Shelia Moore is fo' sho serious 'bout her thang for Him. For over a course of 9 years and hundreds of written and rehearsed materialz, it seems that Shelia intendz to expand her audience into the new millennium with a fresh Anointin' especially in targetin' tha youthz. No skippin'… Track: 6 is for the old skoll folkz laid out beatifully with a touch of peace mixed in it! There is no comparison between Kingdom partying and worldly partying! And to know the reason why will have to be know by the special effectz that the anointing will have on the listener after hearing the project in full.

Frank Caldwell:
ConfirmationHello! why has this project not been played @ secular clubz when them young fine ladiez be seeking to get wanted! Forget Carl Thomas, Joe, Dave Hollister and all them catz that ya'll think are the frontierz of urban-soul WRONG!!! Nu Flava don't jiz review projectz for reviewing sake and Frank Caldwell is one reason why we exposes one-of-akind-artistz. Itz got to be the distinguished smooth urban voice of Frank that will first grab the listenerz attention and without doubt, trackz; "He's Listenin'", "Move In Your Own Time", "Lay It Aside" are trackz that will make you arise & shine over fear.
And in termz of encouragement and comfort, Nu Flava would probably of titled this project "Soul-Connection" and that speakz for itzself! As for the production from an indie point of view, mainstream production needz to be prepare!!! Frank Caldwell deliverz an outstanding debut that will have non-urban listenerz tuning in for life! "Confirmation" is Fantastic and refreshing.

SoulFruit:
Pratice With more style's to even get Tonex wondering what to deliver next! the industry once again beholds a group whom have caught the attention of many on the streets. Their sound's range from Country Hiphop, Acappella, to Smooth and we mean very smooth Rhythm & Praise. Think of the duo group "K-Ci & Jojo" but in a threesum package then you will find out what kin00d'a flava these folks are able to deliver to their new audience. Unlike other R&B/R&P project's, "Practice" doesn't have a steady build uptempo that progresses through the album, t0his is not a bad thing however, it clearly display's the group's vocal and harmonious skills which are pretty flexible! And with production tightness on the rise from the indie camp, SoulFruit make no slip-up. This project has everything to offer, be it in the park chilling out with your peoplez or even in the jeep, don't blink cause DaSouth camp coming out strong!!!
Christopher Lewis:
Life If you love to hear the vocal cords of Tonex, Glenn Lewis, D'Angelo, and Musiq and if these folks have still yet to impress you in certain area, then maybe ya'll may want to peep a nu distinctive voice! This project is so rhythm & blued up that even UK deejayz would be confused with what tracks to tamper with concerning mixes! This is a spotlight project for Christopher Lewis and also a kind of album that will still feel original in the next 4-6 years to come. You will not be disappointed by this project because you will hear a voice that will get you more intimate than you have ever been! The combination of a pure indie voice and indie production should keep mainstream artists scratching their headz on tha reg just by hearing the contents! Christopher Lewis placed 1st in the BMI New Music Nights Showcase 2002 and also received a Grand Prize award for Georgia Music Industry Association, Inc for songwriter showcase 2000 as well as BMI songwriters showcase 2000. So what you waiting for, go get your copy now!!!

Deryc's style can be coined as "infusing smooth romantic passionate R&B with hip hop flavor, into the glorious sounds of new school contemporary Gospel." After listening to the smooth sounds of Deryc, one thing is for sure, this man has a style and sound of his own that is pleasing to the ear.
Tomell Brown:
Soul Winner
This project rite here jiz blazin' with bare rhythm & praise no doubt 'bout that! Smooth as the sensitive lady would have to have it even though it ain't about the ladyz but with love surrounded within this project, it has alot to holla about. Straight away the ablum kickz off with some tight smooth lyricz that are crips to the heeding ear! Don't0 be fooled becuz Tomell Brown is no small boy in the industry even if ya'll aint herd of him before he sure has a tight vision. This bra is for reel and he has shown his old and new audience that he'z seriouz 'bout takin' r&p/r&b to the next dimension! Although Tomell has been compared to the likez of New Edition, Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, R. Kelly, and Joe, he still has that touch of pure and sweet melodiez that only many voicez could really do with!!! Tomell Brown has opened another new door in this genre but ya'll still ain't ready for this cat rite 'ere…so go spread tha word 'bout this project!
